React Job: Software Engineer – AR-VR Application - Remote

Nextech AR Solutions Inc. We focus on growth in our e-commerce, education, and entertainment business lines across many market verticals, including fashion & apparel, footwear, luxury goods & accessories, and others.

The Role

Does working across all tiers of an application excite you? Do you take pleasure in realizing designs from UI/UX artists? How about enabling new AR experiences for a next-generation AR platform with your APIs, used by in-house and third-party developers? Do you design with scale, availability, and elasticity in mind?

As an AR/VR software engineer, you are a valued product development team member responsible for implementing new web-based AR features and API capabilities. You will work closely with product owners, engineers, and engineering leads at various product life cycle stages. Your responsibilities will include the following:

· Developing front-end features for a 3D texturing application used by 3D artists

· Designing and implementing new REST API endpoints

· Designing and implementing changes to the data schema in Postgres

· Working with the DevOps team to deploy and monitor services

What You Will Bring

• Fundamental understanding of 3D models (mesh, textures, materials, lighting, etc.)
• 5+ years of expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• 3+ years of experience using ReactJS and Node.JS
• 2+ years of experience with using Babylon.js
• Experience with a relational database like MySQL or Postgres
• Experience with designing REST APIs
• Experience in developing SaaS products is highly desirable

· Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

· Experience in Agile development methodologies preferred

• Excellent communication skills

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Toggle3D will be your assigned product. A web-based design tool for converting, texturing, customizing, and sharing 3D models. The focus of the product is to convert heavy CAD manufacturing files into lightweight 3D models for the web, bridging the gap between engineering and art. The platform is geared towards experienced and aspiring 3D artists. It is powered by generative AI tools that make 3D design easy, fast, and scalable. With Toggle3D, anyone can be a 3D artist.

Toggle3D is a product under Nextech AR today. However, it will spin out as an independent company in an IPO in 3 months.

Salary: $82,798.71-$120,375.32 per year
